Fantasy football picks: Week 5 FanDuel GPP breakdown

Tom Brady – One of my featured players in this week’s “bounce back” article, Brady seems to be a frequent flyer in our GPP article as well. A game against the Redskins is one that we have should have plenty of interest in, considering how bad the defense has been. They give up 23 points per game against quarterbacks, which is the third-highest in the league, with a 31.6% DVOA against the pass, good for 29th. They were able to grab a few interceptions off rookie Daniel Jones, but that was mainly due to his poor judgment. Tom has some of the best vision in the league and should be one of our top tourney plays.

Kirk Cousins – I really like this price tag on Cousins, in a game against one of the worst secondaries. The Giants have had their fair share of bad performances, giving up the fifth-most points to the quarterback spot, with a 16.9% DVOA as well. Minnesota has been giving up plenty of sacks, but luckily New York has an 8.5% adjusted sack rate. This means that Cousins should have more time to throw and improve from this dreadful season.

Matt Ryan – “Matty Ice” is having another decent season, with only one game below twenty FanDuel points. He has a 70.5% completion rate which is amazing especially when you consider how many times he has had to throw the ball. Atlanta is being forced to move away from the running game, and pass the ball more often. This game has a pretty high point total, and while most are gravitating towards using Watson and company, I would like to pivot off of that popular approach and use some low owned Falcons instead.
