Fantasy football picks: Week 5 FanDuel GPP breakdown

O.J Howard – I refuse to give up on Howard yet. The tight-end position is especially week with no Kelce on the slate, and Austin Hooper as the most expensive play. The big game is coming from Howard, and that price tag is very low.

If Godwin were to sit, and Mike Evans got shut down by Marshon, that would leave plenty of opportunity for the next man in line, which is O.J. Sure these are plenty of “ifs” but that is what Fantasy Sports is all about. Trying to predict the future is our job, and my prediction is that the big game for Howard is this week.

Evan Engram – This is a great chance for us to grab Engram at low ownership for the first time all year. After a bad game against the Redskins, he will be back in what would appear to be a bad match-up with Minnesota.

If you look into it though, they actually give up the tenth most points to the tight-end position. Engram leads this team in targets, at 37, and we have to assume Saquon sits out one more game. I love Engram this week, and if you are not playing chalky Ertz, this is my preferred pivot.

Darren Waller – This man is overdue for his first touchdown, and no faces the best defense in the league. This should drive down ownership numbers on Waller, even though he leads the team with a massive 38 targets.

Waller is playing most of the snaps also, and Chicago has been rock solid on defense all year. He has been a great route runner, and pass catcher, and has accumulated over 300 yards, but somehow has not gotten a touchdown. This is the perfect week for him to score while everyone is off him, with Oakland struggling on offense, he should remain a top end play at the position.
