NFL FanDuel: Week 5 top plays (Early only!)
NFL FanDuel: Week 5 TE Targets – (Early Only)
Tyler Eifert – $4,600 – (Cash)
We talked about it in the introduction a little bit, but this pick really comes down to chasing chalk and nothing more. Eifert has not been targeted much this season, and he has had no more than 27 receiving yards in any game this season, but you would have to think this is the week he gets more involved. The Bengals lost John Ross III to injury last week, and A.J. Green is still not ready to return.
On top of the injuries to the receiving game, there is then the obvious, which is the fact that the Cardinals defense has had no answer for any TE yet this season. Rookie T.J. Hokenson had his best career game with 131 yards and a TD week one, and that was followed by an 8-112-1 line out of Mark Andrews in week two. Greg Olsen got loose for 75 yards and two TD’s in week three, and even though he only mustered up 57 yards last week, even Will Dissly found the end zone against this squad.
I didn’t overthink Dissly last week and I plan to do the same this week. There are other pivots in this range that have appeal, but none are even close to being in the situation that Eifert is in this week in regards to match-up and potential opportunity.
