4. Washington Redskins

After drafting Dwayne Haskins this year, the Redskins theoretically have their quarterback of the future. The looming dismissal of head coach Jay Gruden would even seem to open the door for that to happen, with reports he didn’t want to draft Haskins as the clear-cut evidence pointing to why he has been hesitant to play him so far this season.

But the prospect of big offseason changes, from team president Bruce Allen and general manager Doug Williams on down to Gruden, brings the notion Haskins is not going to be favored a by an entirely new regime in Washington (even if owner Daniel Snyder disagrees, or uses Haskins as a stipulation to be hired). In that case, a quick pivot to trading Haskins, like the Arizona Cardinals did with Josh Rosen last offseason after getting the No. 1 overall pick in the draft, can’t be ruled out.

The Redskins are on track to be in a position to take Tua Tagovailoa or one of the other top-end signal-callers in the 2020 draft class. But it’s not like Bridgewater is old (27 on Nov. 10), so he can be a quarterback of the future. Or he could give said heralded rookie who comes to the Redskins a run for the starting job.
