Fantasy Football Advice: Stats, Facts, and Tidbits
Christian McCaffrey isn’t on the main slate this week, but he’s available in your Thursday-Monday contests and a must-start every week right now with some incredible volume and production. He ranks first among running backs in rushing attempts, rushing yards, targets, receptions. He’s second in rushing touchdowns (4) and third in receiving yards. You have to marvel at the numbers he’s put up so far this year.
Mark Ingram is now averaging 6 yards a carry this season and is tied with Dalvin Cook for the most rushing touchdowns in the NFL with 5. He will likely be a popular play against the Bengals defense that has been hammered by running backs this season.
Chris Carson is coming off his second straight 100-yard game and seems to have held onto the workhorse back role despite some early season fumbling issues. He’ll face a Browns defense that was just gashed by the Tevin Coleman and Matt Breida for over 200 yards rushing.
Michael Gallup is priced very affordably at 6100 on FanDuel and 5600 on Draftkings. He returned from injury to catch 7 of 14 targets for 113 yards and TD last week and is averaging 22 DK points per game. His 15.1 yards per target ranks second among all receivers, meaning that Dak is getting him the ball down the field. He should be a chalky play this week in a “get right” spot for Dallas against the lowly Jets.
Austin Hooper ranks fourth among tight ends in targets, second in receptions, fourth in yards, and third in touchdowns. He’s playing 82% of the snaps for Atlanta and is your “flow chart” chalk play this week at the position against the Cardinals.
