Matt Cassel Division

28. Kyle Allen (LW: 26)

Allen is doing enough to win games. He’s fumbling at an alarming rate and the film doesn’t show many top-tier throws, but Christian McCaffrey is absurd and the defense is doing enough.

27. Chase Daniel (LW: 29)

Daniel is a good backup. He doesn’t often lose the game, he’ll make the occasional big throw and he keeps the offense moving. However, he did throw a brutal pick to seal an ugly loss to the Oakland Raiders on Sunday.

26. Daniel Jones (LW: 22)

Jones came out smoking against the Buccaneers in his debut. Since then, he’s tossed three interceptions and that number could be higher. Jones is a rookie, and he’s looking like one. Hopefully his progression ticks upward.

25. Joe Flacco (LW: 27)

You always know what you’re getting with Flacco. Safe throws, no mobility, a bad interception and just enough to make you think he’s capable of winning the ball game. On Sunday, Flacco went 14-of-20 for 182 with a touchdown and interception. Ho hum.

24. Josh Allen (LW: 23)

The Bills are going to make the playoffs because of a soft schedule and fantastic defense (not in that order). If Allen ever starts playing even decent football, the Bills could seriously threaten as the third-best team in the AFC.

23. Marcus Mariota (LW: 21)

This is written in this space every week. Mariota needs to be better. Fans of his will point to his being sacked five times, averaging 8.3 yards per attempt and no interceptions on Sunday. Realists will say Mariota rarely makes a big play and Tennessee scares nobody because of it.
