Philadelphia Eagles. Lamar Jackson. 23. player. 54. . Cornerback

The Philadelphia Eagles continue their climb in a tough NFC, and by season’s end, you have to think they will be one of the last teams standing. Quarterback Carson Wentz is once again playing at an MVP level, and if he can continue to stay healthy, the Eagles have the talent on both sides of the ball to win the NFC East.

While that is a long ways away, we have to start looking at this team’s weaknesses heading into the 2020 NFL Draft, and the secondary could use some help. This is an Eagles team that has looked like swiss cheese back there at times, and adding a player like Nebraska’s Lamar Jackson would be a nice get at No. 23 overall.

The Eagles also could use some help on the edges, but Jackson has CB1 ability, and this defensive backfield needs to inject more youth. Sidney Jones is still an unknown after the team took him in the second round back in 2017, and if he can play up to his ability, the tandem of Jones and Jackson would be a solid one for Philly moving forward.

50. . Cornerback. Detroit Lions. C.J. Henderson. 24. player

One of the better teams in the NFC this season has been the Detroit Lions, who shook off a Week 1 tie, to run off victories against the Los Angeles Chargers at home, and then the Philadelphia Eagles on the road. While their last time out was a loss, they did play the Kansas City Chiefs tough, and are coming off their bye week entering Week 6.

Quarterback Matthew Stafford has been very efficient this season, and the defense has been much better than advertised. However, they still need to add more talent to their defensive backfield, and C.J. Henderson from Florida would be a nice addition alongside guys like Darius Slay and Rashaan Melvin.

Henderson is regarded as one of the better cover corners in this draft class, and has long been thought of as a first round talent. The Gators played Auburn tough this past week, holding the Tigers offense at bay for most of the game, as we got a good look at what Henderson can do on the big stage.
