Fantasy Football picks: Week 6 TNF Patriots vs. Giants

Tom Brady – Well if this isn’t the most obvious play for single-game slate I’m not sure what it. While Tom has actually seen a small drop in his completion rate, he still has ten touchdowns on two interceptions. He ranks fourth with a 379 DYAR, sixth with a 19.3% DVOA, and a 62.8 QBR. I mentioned Brady in my bounce back article last week, and he delivered at low ownership, with 25 FanDuel points. This game against the Giants is going to be a slaughter, as they will be without possibly all three of their best weapons.

New York gives up the eighth-most points to the quarterback position, with a 29.6% DVOA against the pass, which is good for 29th in the league. While the Patriots rank sixth in offensive passing DVOA at 29.7%. The only concern I would have with Tom is blowout risk, which in the past has never been a huge problem for him. The Patriots love to run up the score on their opponents, and will still pass with big leads. This is a must-play in cash games.

Julian Edelman – Speaking of must-plays for cash games, this is about as much of a slam dunk as Brady for a single-game slate. At below 14k, we are getting Edelman at a bargain. He broke out in a big way last week, catching 8 passes for 110 yards, and a score. There will be times in this game that Janoris Jenkins will be matched up on Julian, and that is a juicy individual spot considering he has been giving up big points to opposing receivers.

The Giants give up the fourth-most points to the wide receiver position, most recently they were burned by a very similar type of receiver, in Adam Thielen. Edelman has an amazing match-up, good price tag, and Josh Gordon is currently questionable as well. Dorsett has yet to practice this week, which means he is probably not going to play. All this just means more targets for the favorite weapon in New England.
