NFL DFS: Carolina Panthers @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (London)

PREVIEW

The Carolina Panthers have continued to show that if it’s not Christian McCaffrey running the offense, then they aren’t going to run an offense altogether. He should be in for a tasty matchup against a leaky Tampa Bay defense. It’ll be interesting to see how else Carolina chooses to exploit the vulnerable secondary that just allowed an 11-182-2 performance to Michael Thomas.

On the flip side, The Bucs are in for a tough test against a defense that has recorded 16 sacks and 7 turnovers over the last three games.

CASH PLAYS

Christian McCaffrey (RB – CAR): He’s recorded at least 25 touches in 4 of 5 games this season, leads the team in target share (23.16%) and red zone attempts (17) and remains the sole source of offensive production. Lock and load your RB1.

Chris Godwin (WR – TB): Over the last two weeks, he’s recorded 19 catches, 297 yards and 4 touchdowns on 23 targets. He has the highest PFF grade of any slot receiver in the NFL (91.4) and should be able to carve up Javien Elliott, the 43rd ranked slot corner in the league per PFF (64.5 grade).

GPP PLAYS

D.J. Moore (WR – CAR): After receiving only 7 targets combined in weeks 3 and 4, Moore saw 9 in week 5 and tied for the team lead. He gets a juicy matchup against the secondary that just allowed an 11-182-2 line to Michael Thomas and should go toe-to-toe with Vernon Hargreaves III, who’s currently posting his lowest PFF grade (51.3) of his 4-year career.

Mike Evans (WR – TB): He got blanked last week as he was only targeted 3 times while being shadowed by Marshon Lattimore, but still leads the starting WRs in Tampa Bay in aDOT (15.9) and comes in second in target share (23.46%). He should have a bit easier go at it Sunday morning against Ross Cockrell, putting him back on the GPP map as a boom-or-bust play.
