NFL DFS Week 6: Fantasy football cash game breakdown

Deshaun Watson – FanDuel $8400 DraftKings $6700

We’re going with the cover boy right off the bat. Same as last week. Watson was able to dominate the Falcons last week with the help of Fuller and I expect some more this week. The Texans are taking on the Kansas City Chiefs which are looking a LITTLE worse than we expected but that can be explained away by injuries. There is a chance the Chiefs get Tyreek back this week and will be airing it out quite a bit. If both teams are going up and down the field, that’s great news for us with Watson against a bad defense.

Currently, Vegas has this game projected as the highest total (I think all season so far but I could be wrong) sitting at 55 points which is incredible and one you want to target/stack even in cash. I will give a word of caution – Mack and the Colts showed you can beat the Chiefs at home by running the ball on them a lot. There’s a chance the Texans try to mimic that and run a TON of Hyde and Duke to keep the ball away from Mahomes.

Matt Ryan – FanDuel $8100 DraftKings $6400

I absolutely loved this play last week on DraftKings and I think I’ll be looking that direction again but I’m torn because Watson is so close in price now. Last week, Ryan was absurdly cheap for his production and he certainly held his own. This week Ryan gets Arizona who is notoriously terrible on defense and plays pretty quickly on offense thus getting the ball back in Ryan’s hands quicker.

Typically reserved for basketball, more possessions equal more points here. I think Ryan can drive up and down on Arizona and with how bad the Atlanta defense has been, this could easily be a back and forth type of game like they played last week against Houston.

Gardner Minshew II – FanDuel $6900 DraftKings $5000

Ok, hear me out. Minshew mania is for real. The kid is talented and yes he’s going up against a tough defense but he’s at home and the Saints are still scoring with Teddy B. At this price with that potential for production I am struggling to fade him honestly. It helps us get a lot of the more expensive skill position guys at running back and wide receiver that I love this week (which I’ll touch on coming up). Minshew has averaged nearly 20 DK points a game and despite putting up 27 last week against Carolina, his price actually came down.
