Late DraftKings college football picks October 12: Fly the Byrd
By Mike Marteny
Late DraftKings college football wide receiver picks October 12
Top Tier:
Even though I think Boise’s defense will do a solid job against the Hawaii passing game, the volume is still there. Cedric Byrd and Jojo Ward are two of the safest plays on the entire slate. With Boise you never know where the ball is going.
John Hightower has emerged as the most reliable Boise receiver, and could go overlooked with all of those Hawaii guys out there. I really like Aaron Fuller for Washington as well. Fuller is the only Huskies player that I would play in any format. He’s the only one without risk.

Middle Tier:
I still think San Diego State is going to be forced to throw, and Kobe Smith has been the main receiver for the Aztecs. Smith has gone over triple digits thrice in the last four games. Smith is a safe play and has ample upside for GPP usage as well.
The Washington passing game outside of Fuller was stagnant against Stanford. I expect a bit of a rebound against Arizona. Hunter Bryant has been a solid play every game but last week. Call that an anomaly and get back on the horse.
Bargain Shoppers:
Arizona is still waiting for a receiver to step up. Brian Casteel gets the volume. Cedric Peterson is the home run guy. Neither has emerged as the one you can really count on. This Washington defense really hasn’t been great. I can see chasing Casteel due to the volume share, but Peterson could have a tough go of it.
