NBA Preseason DFS: Celtics @ Magic

Celtics: Gordon Hayward, Daniel Theis, Robert Williams, and Romeo Langford are all probable.

Magic: Aaron Gordon, Wes Iwundu, and Vic Law are questionable.

On a slate with 14 teams, it makes sense to just cross some teams off on most nights and the Celtics are that team for me tonight with the exception of possibly Kemba Walker as a GPP play. They are going to be completely healthy and there are just too many mouths to feed from a DFS perspective. Kemba is the one guy who could pour it on if he gets hot shooting, but I also don’t expect Coach Stevens to push his guys that much and I’d be surprised if we didn’t see 15 or more guys play in this game with the starters not getting full minutes.

The Magic are playing their fourth preseason game and we are starting to get a pretty good idea of what they want to do most nights. Coach Clifford has been playing his starters in that 20-25 minute range and hopefully, we get that same minute distribution tonight. Aaron Gordon left Wednesday’s game early so I’d be surprised if he suited up tonight after only one day off. That means we should see more shots and boards for Jonathan Isaac and Nikola Vucevic and both are solid per-minute fantasy players.

Terrance Ross also poured in 20 points off the bench on Wednesday, taking 17 shots. If he’s going to be chucking like that, you have to consider him in GPPs as he’s been known to be a streaky hot shooter over his career.

Elite Plays: Jonathan Isaac, Nikola Vucevic

Secondary Plays: Kemba Walker, Terrance Ross
