NFL DFS: Running Back Pivots

Chris Carson has seen his carries increase from 15 in each of the Seahawks’ first three games to 22 and then 27 last week against the Rams. His game-winning touchdown reception sealed a huge victory for Seattle last week over their rival Rams and there’s really no question now that he is the man in the Seattle backfield.

Carson faces a Browns team that was embarrassed on Monday night by the 49ers and just gashed by their running backs. While the Seahawks have an extra few days of rest, the Browns will be playing one less day of rest than usual. This Seattle offense is starting to gel and really look good, while the Browns defense has been trending in the opposite direction. I want some exposure to the Seahawks offense on Sunday, and with Carson’s growing market share in that offense, he makes for an elite GPP target.

Mark Ingram is facing a Bengals team that has been abysmal on defense, there’s no other way to say it. The Ravens are heavy home favorites and the game script could set up really well here for Ingram to pound the ball and beat the Bengals into submission. He’s averaging five yards per tote and has already scored six times on the ground this season. Despite his perception as a between the tackles only guy, he’s also a pretty decent receiver in the screen game, which is something the Bengals defense has struggled against all season long.
