DFS fantasy football – Wide Receivers to Start

D.J. Chark (JAX) @ NO

One of the biggest surprises thus far for the 2019 regular season is D.J. Chark. Heading into the year, the Jaguars didn’t have anyone really worth starting on their receiving corps. That has all changed now with Chark emerging as the team’s clear-cut number one wideout. He’s currently sixth in receiving yards (97.0/gm) and with the Saints possessing an extremely giving secondary, Chark stands to be in line for a very big afternoon in Jacksonville. He makes for a great flex or even WR2 option in all formats heading into this weekend.

D.J. Moore (CAR) @ TB

While I’m not the biggest fan in terms of NFL London games, D.J. Moore could very well be an anomaly this week. Moore is currently tenth overall among receivers in team pass plays (38.8/gm) and is averaging 13.5 yards per catch. The Buccaneers have the worst secondary in the league when it comes to preventing wideouts from getting large sums of receiving yards (214.8/gm). The London games usually present one team that dominates and one who looks like a walking zombie. Let’s hope for Moore’s sake that the Buccaneers are the team that comes out sluggish for this Sunday’s matchup across the pond.

Cooper Kupp (LAR) vs. SF

Since Week 3, Cooper Kupp has been WR1 in total fantasy points (57.8), WR2 in total receiving yards (340), and WR1 in receiving touchdowns (4). Kupp has been undeniably Jared Goff’s number one go-to option in the Rams’ receiving department this year. While the 49ers are a fringe top-10 defense at preventing wideouts from having success, Kupp’s hot-streak should supersede any doubts on how effective he will be on the gridiron. While Brandin Cooks is expected to suit up this Sunday, it has yet to be determined how involved he will be in the receiving game. Consider Cooks’ usage to be limited which in turn, will lead to a heavy dose of Cooper Kupp once again in this division rivalry clash in the coliseum.
