DFS fantasy football – Tight Ends to Start

Mark Andrews (BAL) vs. CIN

Andrews has emerged as one of the league’s more reliable tight ends in terms of fantasy production. He is a top-six option for fantasy managers to turn to among a traditionally thin position. The Bengals have surrendered the most receiving yards per game to opposing tight ends this year (15.29). Cincinnati is a team where just about any player you start against them will perform really well in fantasy and just football in general. Expect Andrews to be a major contributor in Baltimore’s efforts to maintain their grip on the AFC North crown.

Jimmy Graham (GB) vs. DET

I wasn’t totally sold on Graham earlier in the year, but he’s proven he can still be useful at times when called upon. He’s a mid-range tight end and for anyone in need of finding someone serviceable for this week, Graham’s exactly that guy. The Lions haven’t been all too sharp against tight ends this year, allowing 13.81 yards per game. With the Packers not feeling all too optimistic about Davante Adams’ availability this Monday night, Graham could see an increased role leading to more targets from his quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Graham wouldn’t make for a bad starting tight end option this week considering the circumstances at hand.

Greg Olsen (CAR) @ TB

After a bit of a resurgence between Week’s 2 and 3, Olsen came crashing back down to earth in his most recent two games played. I know I was high on Olsen heading into Week 4 and that didn’t work out, but I’m feeling even more optimistic with his current matchup this Sunday. The Panthers will be flying over to London to take on their division foes in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. As it currently stands, opposing tight ends have scored the second-most fantasy points against Tampa’s defense through the first five weeks of the season. The red-hot Panthers should look to exploit this weakness in Tampa’s defense if they are to win this important game during the morning slot of Sunday’s action.
