Fantasy Football 2019: Buy Low, Sell High or Hold?

Le’Veon Bell – Buy Low

The Jets offense has been horrible. They are the second-worst scoring offense, averaging 9.8 points per game. Bell owners may be frustrated but he’s been performing. He’s a top-20 running back with 70.2 PPR points.

Things may be looking up for Bell and the Jets. Sam Darnold is expected to be back under center and the schedule looks a bit favorable. After the Cowboys and Patriots, they get the Jaguars, Dolphins, Giants and Redskins. Sign me up.

Nick Chubb – Sell High

The Browns offense has looked pretty bad over the last couple of weeks. With rumors of teams interested in trading for Odell Beckham, Chubb is the constant. He is the fifth-highest scoring running back so far.

Kareem Hunt is expected to be back in Week 10. He is more of a pass-catching back compared to Chubb. Hunt had 26 receptions in 11 games last year. Chubb has 35 total receptions.

Austin Ekeler – Hold

Even with the return of Melvin Gordon, Ekeler has been a part of the Chargers offense. Gordon took over rushing duties with 12 carries compared to Ekeler’s three. But, Ekeler was more involved in the passing game. He had 15 receptions for 86 yards.

The Chargers offense is dealing with injuries to Mike Williams and Hunter Henry. Even if those two are ready to play this week, I think Ekeler is still a part of the passing game. If you have him in PPR leagues, he is a flex option, borderline RB2.
