NFL DFS bargain bin: Week 6 Tight Ends

Austin Hooper, ATL at ARI: (DraftKings-$5,000/FanDuel-$6,400/FantasyDraft-$9,000/Yahoo-$25)

Hooper’s inclusion into this article is likely a couple of weeks’ overdue, but better late than never on a talented player who’s still decently priced and heads into a matchup where he should see some extra plays with the Cardinals’ Air Raid attack on the other sideline. Arizona is currently taking the second-fewest amount of time between snaps (24.01) and is allowing the eighth-most opponent plays per game (66.4).

More from DFS

The Cardinals’ Achilles heel all season has been tight ends, as they’ve yielded the most DraftKings/FantasyDraft (24.8) and FanDuel/Yahoo (20.0) fantasy points per game to the position. Arizona has also allowed the most yards (461) and receiving touchdowns (six) to tight ends, while Hooper has at least six receptions and 56 receiving yards in four of his first five games. That sample includes tallies of 66, 77 and 130 yards, offering a glimpse at his considerable upside against a defense that’s yielded an elevated 68.0 percent catch rate and an aDOT of 8.7 yards.

Will Dissly, SEA at CLE: (DraftKings-$4,900/FanDuel-$6,000/FantasyDraft-$8,900/Yahoo-$22)

Like Hooper, Dissly’s price is climbing just a bit, but tight end is a real crapshoot at the much lower price points. Dissly clearly enjoys a consistent role, particularly in the red zone, and he could be involved in one of the higher-scoring games of the week this week. Baker Mayfield and company are out to fix their passing game after last Monday night’s embarrassment against the 49ers, so this game could well turn into one Seattle has to remain aggressive in.

The Browns have allowed a 23-223-4 line to tight ends thus far this season, leading to averages of 14.4 DraftKings/FantasyDraft and 12.1 FanDuel/Yahoo fantasy points per game surrendered to the position. Dissly has been a consistent factor in the red zone (five red-zone targets, including three inside the 10) and already has four touchdowns on the campaign, and he also boasts an impressive 85.2 percent catch rate overall. The Browns have allowed 10 touchdowns through the air and could have trouble staying with Dissly while also trying to keep tabs on the speedy duo of Tyler Lockett and D.K. Metcalf.
