NXT UK recap, October 10: The Frenemy Zone
By Jeremy Klein
Tag title talkin’
Right off the top of the show — literally Tom Phillips’ first duty as NXT UK announcer — we are informed that Gallus will take on Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster next week, with the tag team titles on the line. Later on, Andrews and Webster head out to the ring to thank the fans. It was their energy — though really it was the energy of the fans in Cardiff, where they currently are not — that helped them win the titles.

Then, the champs move on to business, saying they want to make sure the NXT UK tag division is the best it can be, vowing to defend anytime, anywhere, against anyone. Of course, anytime is next week, anywhere is that very ring in Brentwood, and anyone is Gallus.
You know how these things work by now: Andrews and Webster saying the above brings out Gallus, who are standing by at the announce desk with a microphone. Mark Coffey claims that he and Wolfgang are straight up embarrassed by all the shameless groveling. He adds that they would totally come to the ring and beat Andrews and Webster up now, but they’d rather have something left for them to beat up next week.
Webster then butts in to say that next week him and Andrews are going to kick Gallus’ asses, which greatly upsets Wolfgang, who does not like being told he’s going to get his ass kicked. We’ll see who kicks whom’s ass next week, when these two teams do battle over the NXT UK Tag Team Championship.
That will do it for this NXT UK recap. What does this new Rhea Ripley-Piper Niven alliance mean? Will Jordan Devlin ever get the respect he deserves? Is the Andrews-Webster reign doomed to fall? Who will win first, Jack Starz or Kenny Williams?
