DraftKings Showdown: Cheap Options

T.J. Hockenson – $5,400

The Packers are excellent at defending slot receivers and tight ends making Hockenson a bit overpriced at $5400. While the Packers rank 6th best at 4.4 fantasy points a game allowed to tight ends, the game script and Hockenson’s freakish athleticism make him a viable flex option.

Jamaal Williams – $5,200

The Lions defense currently allows 124 yards to opposing running backs this season. While Aaron Jones is likely to get more carries, Williams is going to get 8-12 attempts in what should be a positive game script for this Packers rushing offense. Matt LaFleur has made it clear that he wants a timeshare for his running backs, making Williams a viable flex play at only $5200.

Jake Kumerow – $2,800

With Adams out Monday night, Jake Kumerow will once again see his snap count increased. After playing 68% of the snaps last week, he should see a similar role in the offense. With Darius Slay likely shadowing MVS, Rodgers will look to target his second and third receiver more tomorrow evening increasing Kumerow’s value.

Ty Johnson – $1,800

If the Packers can get out to an early double-digit lead, Ty Johnson’s value is increased. He is a very good pass catcher and is likely to get more playing time should the game script go his way.

Mercedes Lewis – $600

If you need to pay a minimum salary Lewis is as low as you can go on this slate. He is involved in the offense having caught a couple passes each of the last few weeks, but will need a red-zone touchdown to pay off his value.

DraftKings Showdown: Special Teams / Defensive Flex Options

Matt Prater – $3,600

With the Lions scoring touchdowns 54% of the time, Prater is the better kicking option on this slate as the Packers are top five in the league at 68%.

Mason Crosby – $3,800

With a productive red-zone offense, I rank Crosby third in terms of options tomorrow night.

Packers – $5,000

With so much player value, I will only have a sprinkling of the Packers defense tomorrow night. The Lions offense is more than capable of moving the football making them only viable should they get a defensive touchdown.

DraftKings Showdown: Game Script Thoughts

The Packers opened as a 5.5 point favorite and a total of 46.5. The money has poured in on the Lions as the Packers are now only a 3.5 point favorite while the total has adjusted down to 45.5. In a game that should feature both running backs keeping this game close. I would take the Lions plus the points as they try to keep Rodgers off the field with a heavy dose of Kerryon Johnson.
