Fantasy football picks: Week 6 MNF Packers vs. Lions

Marquez Valdez-Scantling – MVS has taken over the role as the number one receiver for Rodgers while Adams recovers. This has resulted in a 95% snap count, which leads the team. Now it hasn’t translated into solid production, but the workload should be there. Allison has also seen a spike in snaps, but he has also not done much of anything with them. I would say out of the two of them, Rodgers seems to like MVS slightly more, so I will play him as a result, although either of them could have a good game.

Jimmy Graham – This is a man who could see a nice bump from the departure of Adams. With limited weapons in the passing game, what better player to utilize than a seasoned crafty tight-end. Graham has a nice low price tag on him also, and when given the chance, has performed very well for Green Bay. He also saw 70% of the snaps last week, which is a direct result of needing his presence in the passing game. The targets have been increased, seeing nine two weeks ago. I think Jimmy scores a touchdown in this one, catching four passes along the way, making him a safe play for cash games.

Matt Prater – As always, we have to mention a kicker in our value plays section. Prater is as steady as they come for Detroit. He has missed two field goals, but still, put up plenty of fantasy points along the way. If the Lions struggle to score touchdowns, that only helps the upside of Matt, as he will get plenty of chances to kick field goals. This is a solid play in all formats.
