NBA Preseason DFS: Hawks @ Heat

Atlanta Hawks

Kevin Huerter, Chandler Parsons, and Allen Crabbe all continue to be out for Atlanta, though Evan Turner sounds like he will return for this game. The Hawks have been easing rookie Cam Reddish into his minutes, so we could continue to see DeAndre’ Bembry play the most minutes of anyone on the wing for Atlanta.

Trae Young is the first guy you always want to consider and he’s been playing 27 minutes per game in their first two games which forces you to consider him even if the matchup isn’t great. DeAndre Hunter could be a nice play whether he starts or comes off the bench as his minutes have been solid. Jabari Parker is the only other guy I’d consider based on his high usage with the second team but he’s overpriced on both sites.

Elite Plays: Trae Young, DeAndre’ Bembry

Secondary Plays: DeAndre Hunter

Miami Heat

Kelly Olynyk sounds doubtful for the Heat, but the rest of their main guys should be ready to go after four full days off. They rested some starters last game since they played two games in two days, but we are likely to see Jimmy Butler, Goran Dragic, and Justise Winslow all get some action tonight. Butler and Winslow are in consideration for me if we get word that they’ll be getting heavier minutes, but Dragic is a guy they’ll probably continue to handle with kid gloves in the preseason.

Bam Adebayo continues to be one guy that I will look at rostering every night out, especially here against the Hawks in a pace up spot where there should be a lot of rebounds up for grabs and the potential to rack up defensive stats with how sloppy the Hawks are with turnovers. Tyler Herro is the other play I really like in this game, especially if he’s coming off the bench. He had a huge game last Tuesday with the second unit and then was just okay as a starter the following night. This pace of a game is perfect for his offensive skill set.

Elite Plays: Bam Adebayo, Tyler Herro

Secondary Plays: Jimmy Butler, Justise Winslow, Meyers Leonard
