NBA Preseason DFS: Core Plays

Steph Curry

He went nuclear in their last game against Minnesota, scoring 40 points in 25 minutes. As long as he’s playing 20-25 minutes tonight, he will be in all of my lineups. A matchup with Rondo makes it an even sweeter spot and I’m sure Steph will want to show out against LeBron.

Ja Morant

I really like the rookie tonight to put it all together and produce for Memphis. He’s averaging 7 points and 8 assists so far but has the ability to score the basketball and distribute the rock. Charlotte is a poor defensive team and I think Morant is due for a breakout game. He’s cheap on both sites, too, which is obviously appealing.

Bam Adebayo

I am going to keep playing Bam every night, especially on Draftkings where he is PF eligible and crazy cheap. He’s an excellent source of boards, blocks, steals, and assists. The matchup with Atlanta is a great one as interior players hammered them last season.

Marquese Chriss

Like I said last time out, Chriss is a really talented kid who has never really been able to harness his talent during his brief career. The Warriors have a tendency to bring out the best in players and we saw Chriss post a near double-double as a starter last game. He’s an easy plug-and-play for me at his price (minimum price on FanDuel) and then get cute somewhere else.

Nikola Jokic

The Joker is legit AF (sorry, sometimes I speak high-schooler) and in a “smash spot” (sorry, sometimes I speak DFS degenerate). There’s no reason with all the value available today not to force Steph, Joker, and Luka in some lineups tonight.

Luka Doncic

Luka has been in mid-season form already and is an elite play in all formats. He’s probably a good bet to be one of the top 3 raw scorers on the night. On FanDuel, where shooting guard is always a weak position I’m going to have a lot of him and let others try playing some of the cheaper dudes.
