15. player. 123. . Linebacker/Safety. Dallas Cowboys. Isaiah Simmons

The Dallas Cowboys began the season at 3-0, posting victories against teams that they were just better than. However, since their blazing start, which had the media thinking Super Bowl for America’s Team, they have fallen on hard times, losing three straight, including a sorry loss to the winless New York Jets this past weekend.

It remains to be seen whether or not the Cowboys can right the ship, as head coach Jason Garrett has to be on one of the hottest seats in football at this point. When it comes time to draft next April, they could very well be picking in the top half of the first round, and they should look to get better on the defensive side of the ball with the selection.

One of the better overall defensive prospects in this draft class is Isaiah Simmons, a hybrid linebacker/safety for the Clemson Tigers. Based on all the money Dallas has been spending this year, they need to stack cheap talent on both sides of the ball, and Simmons would be an elite addition to a defense that needs to be better the rest of the way.

player. 51. . Offensive Lineman. Los Angeles Rams. Alex Leatherwood. 16

The Los Angeles Rams were supposed to be a Super Bowl contender heading into the 2019 NFL season, but after their first six games, they have a ton of questions to be answered. This is a team  that spent a lot of money on their franchise quarterback in Jared Goff, and their franchise running back in Todd Gurley, who is once again on the shelf for the Rams.

The bottom line is, this is a team that has the talent to make a run this season, and the likelihood is that they will not be picking at No. 16 overall when all is said and done. However, this coaching staff, led by the talented Sean McVay has to turn this thing around, but that may be hard to do if the offensive line keeps getting pushed back into Goff.

When it comes time for them to pick next April, they have to bring in some talent up front on offense, and Alex Leatherwood from Alabama is a guy who can play all over the offensive line at the next level. He is a strong, physically gifted offensive lineman, and based what we have seen from the Rams in recent weeks, they need all the help they can get up there.
