Don Majkowski Division

22. Josh Allen (LW: 24)

Allen is far too prone to mistakes to put him much higher than this, but he’s moving up. The Bills are 4-1 and if Allen can start avoiding the costly turnovers, the team has a chance to make some noise in the weak AFC.

21. Derek Carr (LW: 21)

Why isn’t Carr higher on the list? He refuses to throw the ball downfield. Averaging 6.9 yards per attempt isn’t going to move many needles, especially with the Raiders almost exclusively calling for safe throws. Trust your quarterback.

20. Sam Darnold (LW: NA)

Darnold comes back for the Jets and they immediately beat the Cowboys for their first win of the season. The second-year man averaged more than 10 yards per attempt in the 24-22 victory. Next up, the Patriots.

19. Andy Dalton (LW: 19)

Dalton is the epitome of average. He’ll have some bad games, he’ll have some good. Sunday was a bad one against Baltimore, failing to mount many serious challenges. The Bengals will be moving on this offseason.

18. Teddy Bridgewater (LW: 20)

Bridgewater continues to manage the offense in New Orleans, with the occasional splash play thrown in. The Saints are 4-0 in his starts while Drew Brees recovers.
