College football betting results afternoon October 12:

Alabama(-17.5) at Texas A&M: HIT! Just another day at the office for the boys in Crimson. Tua set the Alabama record for career passing touchdowns. Yeah, I thought the same thing. What took him so long?

Florida State at Clemson(-27.5): MISS! Yeah, I know. I can’t have it both ways. I stacked Clemson all the way to an afternoon takedown on DraftKings, so I can’t complain about them covering and missing this pick.

Michigan State at Wisconsin(-10.5): HIT! This might have been the easiest money on the season. I hope you went heavily on this as well. Gifts like this don’t come along often. The Badgers have firmly established themselves as the best team in Michigan.

Washington State at Arizona State(-1.5): HIT! As most expected, this was a great game. Also as expected, the Sun Devils pulled it out. I’d say Sparky is still a year away, but this team has a ton of talent. Herm Edwards can still coach.

Cincinnati(-7.5) at Houston: HIT! We did see some heart from the Houston defense at times in this one, but they got tired by the fourth quarter. Those guys that weren’t invited to redshirt are still playing hard. You have to at least admire that.

BYU(-5.5) at South Florida: MISS! How dumb am I? Not only did I list the reasons why USF wouldn’t be covered then pick BYU anyway, but I changed my bet and forgot to post it on Twitter. Oh well, I won in real life…..

Kent State(-14.5) at Akron: HIT! Kent got to know what it felt like to blow someone out. It’s been a while….

Northern Illinois at Ohio(-6.5): MISS! Ohio blew a double digit halftime lead thanks to Ross Bowers having the game of his life. I was just destined to lose this one.

Connecticut at Tulane(-32.5): HIT! Tulane did me a solid and didn’t let up.

Texas Tech at Baylor(-10.5): MISS! This was a great game that was actually low scoring until overtime hit. Baylor had plenty of chances to win this without the overtime drama, but they were never in position to cover this.

San Jose State at Nevada(-2.5): MISS! I knew I didn’t like the line falling that much. This was an entertaining game to watch though.

UNLV at Vanderbilt(-14.5): MISS! The SEC has already started paperwork to kick Vandy out for football. I’m kidding of course, but this was embarrassing for Vandy. But hey, the Vols won so it wasn’t a total loss for the state of Tennessee.

Iowa State(-9.5) at West Virginia: HIT! It was freshman Breece Hall who jumpstarted the Cyclones running game in this one. And as a bonus, Brock Purdy took significantly less hits.

Middle Tennessee State at Florida Atlantic(-10.5): HIT! The switch to Malcolm Davidson at running back has made the Owls far less predictable on offense.

Georgia State at Coastal Carolina(-4.5): MISS! This was actually a case of watching a team too much. I’ve seen Georgia State play, and not very well in recent weeks, a lot more than CCU. If I had watched CCU besides in the Kansas game, I probably would have stuck with the Panthers.

UAB(-12.5) at UTSA: HIT! This is another place where logic prevailed. Again, not commonplace in college football betting.
