DFS Advice Defenses to Start

San Francisco 49ers Defense @ WSH

I’m sure you have managed to pick up on this trend by now. Any defense who takes on the Washington Redskins you should automatically plug them in with confidence. I know I said that about the Jets when Dallas played them last week, but New York actually has more hope with their quarterback at this very moment than Washington. While I do believe Dwayne Haskins will be a good signal-caller in the league, he’s going to go through some significant growing pains for the time being. At this time, the Redskins are rolling with Case Keenum as their starter who hasn’t looked too good himself either this year. The 49ers are a young, talented and hungry defense that is currently second in interceptions this year (1.40/gm). Look for another dominant outing from this exciting squad.

Buffalo Bills Defense vs. MIA

Much like the San Francisco 49ers’ defense, the Bills fall under this category. Buffalo is pretty much a must-start every week anyway, but their matchup this week is even more enticing with the Miami Dolphins coming to town. Miami is currently last in points scored per game (8.4) as well as second to last in passing and rushing yards per game (176.0 and 58.2 respectively). The Dolphins lack any kind of firepower at all facets of the offense. Their quarterback situation is a mess. First, they claim to commit to Josh Rosen for the remainder of the season, then wind up benching him in the middle of the game against Washington for Ryan Fitzpatrick last week. Buffalo is eighth in interceptions (5) and has scored three touchdowns as well against opposing quarterbacks. The Bills’ stout defense should have a field day against a Dolphins club that appears to be heading in the direction of tanking their season as we speak. Don’t even hesitate to start this defense as we approach Week 7.
