EPL DFS Breakdown – Saturday 10/19/19

EPL DFS – Value Attackers
Callum Hudson-Odoi (Newcastle @ Chelsea, $12) – I was not sure how Hudson-Odoi would respond this year to his price game action since tearing his Achilles, but he looks healthy and ready to go. He got his first start of the season last game and provided an assist to Abraham while totaling 23.6 fantasy points. That was his 2nd assist in 2 games. He is Chelsea’s 3rd most likely scorer on Saturday in this plus matchup. He will likely be a popular value play, but that won’t force me off him. He’s a great way to get exposure to large favorite’s attack while saving some money at the same time.
Marvelous Nakamba (Brighton @ Aston Villa, $11) – There really isn’t anything to say about Nakamba that I haven’t already said about him in previous EPL DFS Breakdowns in the last month. The guy keeps churning out 15+ point games, and while FanDuel is raising his price by $1/week, he’s still plenty cheap for me to be very interested. His attacking upside is far less than Hudson-Odoi, but if you can’t find that extra dollar, don’t sweat and just roll with Nakamba.
Dominic Solanke (Norwich @ Bournemouth, $10) – You know the value is rough on a slate when you’re taking time to write up a guy who has reached double digits only once this season. However, I’ve mentioned how terrible Norwich’s defensive is, especially on the road. Any opposing attacker is going to draw some interest from me, and Solanke has respectable odds to score at +150. It probably goes without saying that there is a big-time risk here with how low his floor his, but this would be a great time for him to get his first goal of the year and give us a good super low-owned value play.
I have some interest in Philip Billing ($9) for $1 less. He relies much more on peripherals (of which there should be a good amount) than Solanke making a safer floor, but his goal upside is not nearly the same. Billing is the safer play, but Solanke is more likely to score and get you a bigger fantasy performance.
