Fantasy football picks: Week 7 FanDuel GPP breakdown

Golden Tate – This is one of my favorite wide receivers on the day regardless of ownership, and nobody is talking about him. Flying under the radar is Tate, who tied Slayton with 98% of the total snaps last week against New England. As a result, he racked up 102 yards and a score. While New York is getting back Barkley, and Engram, Shepard is looking a little less likely to return. As a result, Tate will yet again be one of the go-to options for Daniel Jones. One area that we can exploit against Arizona is the passing game, and specifically the slot position where Tate runs quite a bit of his routes, Arizona ranks 11th in points against receivers, with a 33% DVOA against the pass. This is a cheap way to get exposure in one of the highest-scoring games of the week.

Michael Thomas – We all know how good the Bears defense is, so this is not a play based on defensive match-up. Thomas is a high-volume receiver, leading the team in targets with 67. Even with Brees injured, he is still getting solid production, having scored double digit points in each game this year. Thomas is basically match-up proof, but the Bears defense will drive ownership down on him, making Thomas an ideal GPP option.

Brandin Cooks – Cooks should be the lowest owned receiver out of the big three in LA. Kupp is obviously a great cash game play, but anyone of these guys could end up with a big game. Cooks is coming off two down games, one of which he got injured in. Before the injury, he had three consecutive games of ten or more fantasy points. Atlanta gives up the second-most points against receivers, with a 51% DVOA against the pass, second-worst in the league. As mentioned, any of these receivers are good plays, but Cooks should be the lowest owned and has plenty of big-play ability to have his best game of the season.
