Fantasy football picks: Week 7 FanDuel GPP breakdown
Hunter Henry – Ownership is coming in a bit lower than what I think Henry will actually be, regardless I wanted to discuss this play. FanDuel must have forgotten how good Henry is, or they didn’t watch his last game returning from injury where he scored twice, racking up 100 yards on eight catches. He was also supposed to be on a snap limit, except he played 66% of the snaps. I suppose it probably was a slight limit, which means that he should return to the 90% range in this game. Tennessee has a solid defense, but they struggle against tight-ends a bit, giving up the tenth most points to the position. This price tag on Henry is a joke, as he is one of the cheaper options on the slate. When you consider his upside, and his floor, Henry is a viable option in all formats.
T.J Hockenson – Speaking of good defenses that are bad against tight-ends, Minnesota gives up the sixth-most points to the tight-end position. Hockenson is getting 65% of the snaps and is utilized much more in the passing game compared to James who is used primarily as a blocker. After starting the year off with 22 points, he has since scored in double digits just one time. This play comes with an immense amount of risk, but T.J is still seeing enough targets that all he needs to do is score and he would hit value.
Gerald Everett – It has been a slow and steady process, but Everett is finally pulling away from Higbee and becoming the lead tight-end for the Rams. Now sitting at 64% of the snaps on the year, Everett has 24 targets in the past three games. That has resulted in 189 yards and a score, with two double-digit fantasy performances. We should have a few pieces from the Rams, as Atlanta has a terrible defense. They give up the 13th most points against tight-ends. There will be plenty of scoring chances for Gerald, and he will see virtually no ownership.
