Fantasy football picks: Week 7 FanDuel GPP breakdown
Chicago Bears – It appears as if most people will be looking to use the Bills, or Niners defense this week as they both get excellent match-ups. While I do really like San Fran in cash games, that means Chicago might come in as a lower-owned option. They are arguably a top three rated defense in the league, only giving up 14 points per game, and just over 300 yards per game. They are racking up sacks by the truckload, with 17 total sacks.
They are getting plenty of turnovers also with six fumbles, and four interceptions. They rank fifth in overall DVOA, sixth in adjusted sack rate, and 15th in adjusted line yards. New Orleans on the road is not as daunting, especially with Teddy Bridgewater under center, and Alvin Kamara looking very questionable. The Saints will struggle to score the ball, which gives Chicago a high floor. If they can force a few turnovers, that will put them in a category where they could even outscore those higher owned defenses.
Minnesota Vikings – Week in and week out the Vikings have one of the most consistent defenses. They have not allowed more than 21 points in any game this year, rank sixth in overall DVOA, tenth in adjusted sack rate, and eighth in DVOA against the pass, which is the Lions strong suit. The Vikings like to wear down offensive lines, and force teams into mistakes. They are one of the cheaper defenses, and they have a pretty safe floor considering the Lions are not anything special.
