NFL DFS Week 7: Fantasy football cash game breakdown

Chris Carson – FanDuel $7600 DraftKings $6500

I write up Carson just about every week and I keep being pleased with the results in cash games. We’ve established a nice sample size now where we can see the Seahawks want to run the ball, they have faith in Carson despite his early-season fumbling issues, and they’re going to provide him with plenty of volume. If they get behind the sticks into a long down and distance, potential MVP Russell Wilson can get them a first down and start the cycle over of getting Carson the ball. He’s involved in the passing game as well. Don’t let the Ravens matchup scare you because their name holds more clout than the stats. Their defense has not been very good and I’ve seen teams run all over them.

Marlon Mack – FanDuel $7100 DraftKings $6000

Nothing really flashy here (or particularly attractive to be honest) but Mack always offers a really safe floor. Houston’s defense isn’t great but I’m not sure if that’s been due to some of their matchups so far. I haven’t been able to watch them really close yet and I try to be an eye test film guy. Stats can be deceiving without context. That said, Indy has the best offensive line in the league and their game plan should be to just try and overpower every team they go against. I love this plan, I think this plan should work, they did it against the Chiefs, but that doesn’t mean they’ll bother trying to do it against the Texans. Coaching staffs are unfortunately very unpredictable. Regardless, Mack will have a safe floor for cash but will probably be really low owned.

Josh Jacobs – FanDuel $6700 DraftKings $5000

This one is a stretch for cash games especially because his ownership will be super low. Hear me out though. The Raiders and Jacobs ran all over the Bears number one rush defense (yes they were missing a very important piece on the d-line but it’s still impressive). Gruden is an old school guy who wants to run the ball as much as possible and I’m not sure anyone really trusts Carr to go win you the game. The Packers run defense is truly terrible and they don’t get exposed every week because their offense gets ahead. This week though, Rodgers is probably going to be without 2 maybe even 3 starting wide receivers and the coaching staff isn’t happy with Aaron Jones so I could see it being close enough for Jacobs to do some work. I love this price on DraftKings.
