NFL DFS Week 7: Fantasy football cash game breakdown

Evan Engram – FanDuel $6800 DraftKings $6500

Ok so we know the flowchart rule by now, right? Tight ends against Arizona are totally a thing. That said, I’m not sure people will have the salary to spend here this week and Engram could go weirdly low(ish) owned. He’s got a really high ceiling and a safe floor but I don’t think he’ll be THE cash game tight end. I love this play to differentiate yourself just a bit and get another piece of this juicy game stack. Your typical cash game lineup tends to need to spend down on tight end so they can play safe wide receivers, a safe quarterback, and expensive running backs which is why I think despite being the flowchart guy of the week, Engram won’t be really high owned. Solid floor, excellent ceiling here.

Hunter Henry – FanDuel $5700 DraftKings $4000

The tight end of the week for cash games (especially on DraftKings) is probably going to be Hunter Henry I think. It feels like it’s been forever since he’s played a full game and he finally got one in last week against my Steelers. Circumstances forced Rivers to throw the ball quite a bit and he was looking at his tight end a ton. Henry went nuts getting two touchdowns but we have to remember it was almost like garbage time given the beatdown the Steelers were issuing for the first 3 quarters of that game. All of that said, Tennessee is a tough matchup but honestly, matchup be darned at this price. Recency bias and salary will have him very highly owned.

Darren Waller – FanDuel $6200 DraftKings $4700

I am the Walrus…cookoo kuchoo! Darren Waller has been crushing it in terms of targets and his skills have been on display in the NFL all year. So much so that the Raiders just inked him to an extension already mid-year which is really cool I think. It’s not something you see very often and if you’ve heard this guy’s story and his battle with addiction, it’s a nice happy ending. Warm and fuzzies aside, he’s got skills and they’ll probably need them against Green Bay. My only hesitation here is that he’s been questionable and struggling with practice due to a foot injury. I stay away from guys with lower-body issues as those can get really hairy.
