Evening DraftKings college football wide receiver picks October 19
Top Tier:
Once again the receiver picks are dominated by the forces at Wake. Sage Surratt is averaging 30.5 DraftKings points per game. Scotty Washington isn’t far behind at 21.1. Both are worth using against the one part of the Florida State team that still hasn’t come around.
Devonta Smith has been such a huge part of the Alabama receiving game that it’s hard to decide just where his targets will go in the first half against Tennessee. I wouldn’t use Smith here. There’s a chance that he has a monster second half, but I think the game will be well out of hand by then. I think I would rather use Jaylen Waddle as a value pick than choose between Ruggs and Jeudy.
Every single Washington State receiver is in play here. Colorado’s secondary, is in fact, that bad.

Middle Tier:
Is Tony Brown better than Leviska Shenault? He is priced that way. They both got targeted eight times last game, but Brown only had five catches for 16 yards. Shenault had four for 70. I would still go Shenault, but I don’t think there’s a wrong answer against Washington State.
We saw Fuller have a big game against Arizona last week. The same fate awaits Tyler Vaughns. We also saw Amon-Ra St. Brown cash in on some of that potential last week. Both are excellent plays here.
This would be a great place to use Tamorrion Terry. Louisville’s receivers went bonkers on Wake last week. Some of that is the quarterback, but it’s the safe bet that the Seminoles will go with whoever can get Terry the ball.
Bargain Shoppers:
We saw a couple of big games from Andrew Parchment earlier this season, but TCU and Oklahoma both held him under wraps. Stephon Robinson had better games in both of those. Texas is capable of doing it, but this could be the game where Parchment gets back on track. We need value from somewhere on this slate. Receiver is probably the best place to get it.
The Kansas pass defense is solid, but they still got burned by Lamb a couple of times. Collin Johnson is a solid pick here, but I think there are better places to go. I’m not entirely sure Texas goes nuts on Kansas.
