DraftKings Showdown: Flex

Tom Brady – $11,600

The Jets defense has been very good against the pass allowing the 8th fewest passing yards this season. With that said, Brady and Belichick have had extra time to prepare and will have plenty of wrinkles for this defense. I am pairing Brady with any Patriot pass-catcher in Captain and will have him as one of my core builds in the flex. Be sure to differentiate though and have Michel lineups with no Brady to balance out your builds.

Sam Darnold – $9,000

A contrarian play that I believe you have to utilize will be Darnold and Jets pass-catchers as they will be extremely low owned against the best defense in the league. I prefer building Darnold lineups with Crowder as the Patriots will put Gilmore on Anderson likely locking him down all evening. Again, if you have a Jets pass catcher in Captain, you must pair him with Darnold.

Sony Michel – $7,800

With the line Patriots -9.5, Sony Michel is likely to see close to 20 touches tomorrow night. A great pivot off of Brady dominated builds would be plugging in Michel as he could easily score all of the Patriots touchdowns. While I prefer Brady, White Dorsett and Edelman, I will use Michel a lot in my contrarian builds in the flex and at Captain.

Jamison Crowder – $7,000

While the Patriots allow the fewest fantasy points to perimeter receivers, Crowder can have some success in the middle of the field. The Patriots will shadow Anderson with Gilmore or stick Gilmore on Thomas and bracket Anderson with a safety over the top taking away the deep ball. With Darnold in the lineup, Crowder has seen 26 targets in two games!

Robby Anderson – $6,800

I will likely be fading Anderson minus a Captain lineup or two should he get behind the Patriots defense. He has the slate-breaking ability, but the matchup is downright awful as he is likely to see one of the best corners in the league all night.

Phillip Dorsett – $6,600

With Josh Gordon out, Phillip Dorsett is going to see a major boost in snaps and targets. In the two games that he was fully healthy, Dorsett saw over 87% of snaps and 11 targets. As I stated before in these articles, I want guys with blazing speed in Captain. The former Hurricane standout possesses just that with 4.3 speed and should see an increased target share. He is going to be one of my core players on this slate.
