Value pick

Terrence Ross and Serge Ibaka both could return higher value than this round. Ross was the #91 ranked player last year and was selected at #115 here. Similarly Ibaka was ranked #62 last year and was selected at #118 here.

My pick

I felt kind of stuck in this round with who I should go with. Having decided that I desperately needed to shore up my rebounding numbers, Len seemed to be the best choice at the time. As the starting center for the up and coming Atlanta Hawks, Len should be getting a lot of run time.

He averaged just 20 minutes a game last year but as the season progressed, his minutes slowly went up. Even with the uptick in minutes in the last 3 months of the season, Len still wasn’t even a top 150 player last year. The big man can step out and hit the three but he isn’t strong at the free throw line and doesn’t help much with my steals. Not a fan of my own pick here.

“Meh” pick

I’ll say my own pick Alex Len here but will also add Willie Cauley-Stein to the mix. The Warrior isn’t even going to suit up to start the season, having been diagnosed with a left foot injury. I would much rather have Looney who was taken in the next round.

Fantasy Basketball Draft: Round 10

1. Thaddeus Young(Chi – SF,PF) – Drewit that way
2. Brandon Clarke(Mem – PF) – Play2Win
3. Eric Gordon(Hou – SG) – Big Boyz
4. Evan Fournier(Orl – SG,SF) -1 nighter
5. Kevon Looney(GS – PF,C) – Team Aces
6. Collin Sexton(Cle – PG) – Step 123
7. Tomas Satoransky(Chi – PG,SG) – Apples to Pears
8. Klay Thompson(GS – SG,SF) – Don’t knock the knicks
9. Spencer Dinwiddie(Bkn – PG) – Jokes on U
10. OG Anunoby(Tor – SF,PF) – Breaking Bad
11. Cedi Osman(Cle – SF,PF) – General G
12. Ish Smith(Was – PG) – Wrecking Crew
13. Kent Bazemore(Por – SG,SF)- MY TEAM
14. Kevin Durant(Bkn – SF,PF) – Stone Cold

Value pick

Looney, Satoransky, and Smith could all do well here. Smith is going to get his fair share of minutes with Isiah Thomas injured and is basically the last veteran point guard available on the Wizards squad.

Looney could be in line for 30 + minutes a night and Satoranksy came on extremely strong in the last three months of the 2017-18 season, returning 8th round value.

My pick

I was hoping Satronaksy would fall to me here but ended up with Bazemore. It is not unreasonable to think the former Hawk could return top 100 value this season as the primary backup behind the injury prone Rodney Hood in Portland.

The new Blazer is a career 1.0 SPG player and doesn’t really hurt you anywhere with the exception of FG% (40% last year on 10 attempts). With Lillard and McCollum taking the majority of the shots this year, that negative FG percentage will not have the same impact.

“Meh” pick

There weren’t really any picks here that I didn’t like. If I had to pick one Durant raised a few eyebrows considering he likely won’t even suit up this season at this late in the draft, it doesn’t really matter considering the flurry of hot waiver wire pick ups that happen a week into the season.
