General Thoughts

At this late in a 14 teamer draft, I don’t usually feel too strongly about any players so thought I would just give a few general thoughts.

My pick of Tucker was just a safe, but very boring pick. As someone that doesn’t get a lot of blocks but positively contributes to rebound and steal numbers I felt like I had to go with him. In hindsight I would have preferred Jerami Grant who was the #74 ranked player last year.

Overall a lot of value went in this round. Kyle Anderson could be in for a nice bounce back season after finishing as the #76th ranked player in the 2017-18 season. Last year he never really got it going having played just 43 games (a career low). Prince and Brown could also be in for good years.

Darius Garland is a bit of a head scratcher. Having missed a huge chunk of his college season and not suiting up for summer league as a result, it is hard to get a read of just how good he will be this year.

Fantasy Basketball Draft: Round 12

1. Justise Winslow(Mia – PF) – Drewit that way
2. Jusuf Nurkic(Por – C) – Play2Win
3. Kelly Olynyk(Mia – PF,C) – Big Boyz

5. Landry Shamet(LAC – PG) – Team Aces
6. Dennis Schroder(OKC – PG) – Step 123
7. Maxi Kleber(Dal – PF) – Apples to Pears
8. Jaxson Hayes(NO – C) – Don’t knock the knicks
9. Dennis Smith Jr.(NY – PG,SG) – Jokes on U
10. Marvin Williams(Cha – SF,PF) – Breaking Bad
11. Cody Zeller(Cha – PF,C) – General G
12. Markelle Fultz(Orl – PG,SG) – Wrecking Crew
13. D.J. Augustin(Orl – PG) – MY TEAM
14. Jabari Parker(Atl – SF,PF) – Stone Cold

General Thoughts

Kelly Olynyk at 157 is a Fantasy Basketball huge steal. The Canadian could return top 100 value this year with Whiteside gone.

Last year, Olynyk proved to be a difference maker when on the court for the Heat, and with Whiteside now gone, it frees up more minutes for Olynyk to share the court with Bam Adebayo – a duo that outperformed any Whiteside combination last year in contributing to the Heats Win Percentages according to 82games.com.
