FanDuel NBA Breakdown – Final Thoughts
In this section I will go in depth about topics such as roster construction, and just overall strategy on how to attack this slate. We used to provide a sample lineup in this section, and decided to remove that for this season. That takes the fun out of doing research yourself, and actually building the lineup is the best part about DFS in my opinion. What I will do is help you in how to build that lineup, which is almost as good. I will also include my favorite play of the day in this section. This could be a stud, a value player, or mid-tier. It is just my personal favorite player that I like for the slate.
I used to take a studs and duds approach last year with the drop score, but we no longer have that feature so I will be reverting back to my old ways of building lineups. That is normally building around one star. On a smaller slate you can get wacky with things and go back to that studs and duds approach but it garnishes more risk without the drop score. I will be building around Anthony Davis for my main lineup. He has the most overall upside on the slate, along with a great individual matchup.
When building around one star, we need to grab some value plays, that are relatively safe, and some mid-tier players with a high floor. Dwight Howard fits that value play bill we are looking for, and he has a pretty high ceiling as well, which is an added bonus. Kyle Lowry is a great mid-tier play that I will have plenty of interest in for the price tag, he has one of the safest floors on the slate, and a decent match-up.
Play of the day – Lou Williams
