Chase Edmonds, ARI

David Johnson practiced all week, so fantasy owners thought he was going to get the majority of carries. He was started in almost every league was owned. So, any owner that had Edmonds likely didn’t start him; I know I didn’t. But, after one carry, Johnson did not see the field again. Instead, Edmonds went off for 126 yards and three touchdowns on 27 carries.

Going forward, Edmonds should be getting more carries even with a healthy Johnson. The Cardinals offense will be leaning on the run with Christian Kirk out and no other reliable receivers.

Jamaal Williams, GB

No matter how many times Aaron Jones looks like he’s going to be the bellcow for Green Bay, Williams seems to find a way back onto the field. He’s scored a receiving touchdown in each of his last two games.

While he only got three attempts last week, he is becoming more valuable in PPR leagues. With Davante Adams out with turf toe and Geronimo Allison and Marquez Valdes-Scantling getting banged up, Williams is worth a flex play most weeks.

Ty Johnson, DET

Johnson may not be known to a lot of people but with Jonhson expected to miss a few weeks with a knee injury, the Lions backfield is wide open. While many think J. D. McKissic will get the majority of carries, Johnson had 14 touches last week (10 carries, four receptions) for 57 yards.

Johnson and the Lions face the Giants in week 8. We saw what Edmonds was able to do against them last week. Johnson could be a nice dart throw in season-long leagues and for DFS.
