Fantasy Football picks: Five bounce back players for Week 8

Chris Carson – I really like the fact that Carson has become the true workhorse running back for Seattle that we knew he would be. In most recent weeks, logging over 80% of the offensive snaps, and over 20 rushing attempts in each of the past four games. That had resulted in three games of more than 15 fantasy points, until last week where the stingy Baltimore defense was able to slow him down. That makes this game against the Falcons a prime spot to bounce back. They have actually been very average against the run, ranking towards the middle of the pack in points allowed to running backs. They are however down right terrible against the pass, and Carson does grab a few passes in each game also.

We saw Todd Gurley score on a nice pass in the red-zone last week, and while I won’t use that as a sure fire reference that Carson will do the same, he is getting way more opportunities than Gurley that is for sure. Just due to his sheer volume alone, Carson is a threat to put up a big game each and every week. If Seattle can open up this game through the air, that should allow Chris some breathing room, and more chances for open running lanes on the ground. He is a little pricey on FanDuel at 8k, that is more or less stud type pricing, but he is logging some of the highest rushing attempts in the league, outside of Fournette, and C-Mac. This makes him a great candidate to bounce back.
