Julio Jones

Currently the WR10 thanks to four touchdowns, Julio is tenth in targets, but has seen just a 21.3 target share. Julio should see his target share spike with Sanu and his six targets per game now in New England. The increase in target volume should help propel Jones back into the top five fantasy wideout realm for the rest of the season. For comparison purposes, Julio had a 28 percent target share in each of the last two seasons.

More from Fantasy Football

Austin Hooper

Austin Hooper has already emerged as one of the most reliable tight ends in fantasy due to the Falcons need to constantly throw the ball, and should see his target volume increase with Sanu out of town. Hooper is now locked in as a top three option weekly and should remain one of Matt Ryan’s favorite targets. First on the Falcons in receptions and also first among tight ends, Hooper is second in the league in tight end receiving yards. Hooper should remain a top five fantasy producer going forward.

Calvin Ridley

Calvin Ridley is another big winner with Sanu going to the Patriots. He should now see a more consistent target volume that when coupled the Falcons uncanny ability to hemorrhage points on defense could vault him into the every week WR2 conversation. Matt Ryan loves to throw to the open receiver, and as long as Ridley is facing man coverage as opposed to zone, which he strangely admitted to having issues with, he should consistently win in single coverage. Ridley is currently the WR31 on the season. Ridley is a strong trade target for those looking for receiver help.

Matt Ryan

Matt Ryan has been strong once again this season and shows no signs of slowing down. His weekly floor takes a hit with the departure of Mohamed Sanu, but gameflow should continue to afford a league leading number of pass attempts per contest. Ryan still has a very talented trio of weapons in Julio, Calvin Ridley, and Austin Hooper and will remain a QB1 for the majority of the season.

Devonta Freeman

Devonta Freeman was already in line for a bigger workload with Ito Smith in the concussion protocol, and also dealing with head and neck injuries. Freeman should see a weekly boost in targets, and can reclaim true lead back status if he can string together a couple of strong performances. Freeman remains an RB3 with RB2 value during the byes.

Justin Hardy

Justin Hardy is expected to get the first crack at the third wide receiver role in Atlanta. Matt Ryan likes to spread the ball around enough to make the winner of this job worth a look in the deepest of leagues. Hardy with battle with Russell Gage, Olamide Zaccheaus and possibly current practice squad wideout Brandon Powell for the slot role.
