NBA DFS Picks and Pivots – Scrub a Dub Dub:

If you want to go star heavy tonight it is going to mean biting the bullet on some pure punts and with seven projected starting players among the six teams in action under $7K on FantasyDraft, where the minimum price is $6K, I think you have various routes to get there.

More from DFS

Glenn Robinson III ($6.2K) is a player who has been a minimum priced starter before for us in DFS but the truth is, he has been more Terrance Ferguson than anything else, a guy who “starts” and plays a whole lot of empty minutes. The difference here tonight and potentially for early in the year s the Warriors starting SF, is that Golden State just flat out has no other options.

The Warriors yesterday listed Alec Burks as OUT, the clear bench wing who would threaten GR3 for playing time which only leaves guys like Jordan Poole and Jacob Evans as options for the Warriors with Alfonfo McKinnie off the roster. Robinson has about as clear a path to 25-30 minutes (and maybe more) as any punt play on the slate and that alone makes him an ideal punt at just $200 above the minimum price.

The Pistons Bruce Brown ($6.6K) is not an overly sexy pick but his minutes seem secure and his role on the team had him on the court in crunch time. If you are new to NBA DFS – get used to using Popcorn Machine as you can see the game flow and player minutes for any and all games – bookmark it, you are going to use it ALOT.

If you look at last night’s game, Brown was a constant on the floor, playing 29 minutes and essentially the entire back end of the 4th quarter alongside Drummond, Rose, Kennard and Snell. Brown put up a decent overall line, 7 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists and if Jackson is limited and Rose is held back on an early-season B2B, he could have even more upside.
