1. LSU Tigers

Rank: 2 | Opponent: 9 Auburn Tigers | Time: Saturday, Oct. 26, 3:30 p.m. ET

Auburn traveling to Death Valley to take on now-No. 2 ranked LSU in a matchup of Tigers is almost too closely contested to be considered a potential upset pick. Having said that, with LSU being undefeated, eyeing a College Football Playoff berth and playing so dominantly while Auburn has been very good but not elite this season, it would be a massive shakeup if Auburn were to win this game on the road.

Every time that Joe Burrow and the LSU Tigers have been asked to prove themselves this year, they’ve passed the test. With the way that he was putting up numbers early, there was understandable skepticism about how real this offensive resurgence in Baton Rouge actually was. But with hanging 42 points on a Florida team that beat Auburn and then following that up with 36 points on the road against Mississippi State, they are undeniably for real.

Auburn’s defense is another test, though, even if LSU hasn’t been susceptible to such tests this season. They have fantastic players in the front-seven that could potentially pressure Burrow more than he has been at any point this season in addition to having a solid secondary. There is at least a chance that Auburn can make the LSU offense look semi-human.

The big key for this game, though, is Bo Nix. The freshman quarterback for Auburn has been an enigma this season, flashing greatness but largely looking the part of a young player with a lot of responsibility on his shoulders. Even still, if he can play to his talent level and mature quickly for one day, he could give Auburn a chance to knock off the No. 2 team in the country on the road.
