DFS Fantasy Football: Tight Ends to Start

Evan Engram (NYG) @ DET

While Engram had an extremely disappointing afternoon against the Arizona Cardinals Sunday, I’m optimistic that he will bounce back this week.

The Lions haven’t been all too good against stopping opposing tight ends from being productive (67.67 yards/game) which is already a positive sign that the New York tight end will do well. I know he had a great match-up against a weak Cardinals’ defense, but freak things happen in the NFL as we have all grown accustomed to this year.

The Giants don’t have much outside of Saquon Barkley in their receiving game, so it may behoove quarterback Daniel Jones to throw the ball to a viable option like Engram if they want to pull off the upset in the Motor City this week. I’m expecting some significant redemption this time around.

Gerald Everett (LAR) vs. CIN

Over the last three weeks of the season, Everett has been TE2. In this span, he has been averaging 11.2 fantasy points per game, along with 18 catches for 239 yards and five touchdowns scored.

Only Austin Hooper has produced more fantasy points in this stretch making him an interesting option to consider for this week. While the Bengals haven’t been all that bad against opposing tight ends this year, I believe Everett’s hot streak will continue for another week in Los Angeles.

Look to see the big tight end to be heavily involved in the Rams passing plans as he has gobbled up 73.8% of the team’s offensive snap shares since Week 4.
