DFS Fantasy Football: Defenses to Start

Minnesota Vikings Defense vs. WSH

The Minnesota Vikings have a great match-up awaiting them as they will host the Washington Redskins on Thursday Night Football. The Redskins quarterback situation isn’t pretty and the team has recently relieved head coach Jay Gruden of his duties.

With the Redskins ranking in the bottom-three in passing yards, rushing yards, total yards, and points scored, Minnesota is looking like they are a safe bet to have in your starting lineup this week considering that they rank in the top-15 in those categories on defense.

New Orleans Saints Defense vs. ARI

After a bit of a rocky start, the Saints have gotten their act together which is very scary for the rest of the NFC. New Orleans has had double-digit fantasy performances in three of their last four weeks.

In that span, they have had six takeaways causing all sorts of havoc for offenses to deal with. Now the Saints will welcome to their beloved city the Arizona Cardinals.

While Kliff Kingsbury’s offense has been playing well the last three weeks, we must keep in mind that their competition has been pretty soft in that span. Now they will be tested against a real opponent this week and I don’t think they are up for the task. Starting the Saints defense is a really good idea if you’re looking to not get burned.
