FanDuel NBA Breakdown – Cash Core

Russell Westbrook (10,200) – Russ logged 32 minutes, and almost put up a triple double in his first game in a Houston uniform. With 24 points 16 rebounds, and seven assists, and a 28.8% usage rate which was second on the team. Harden looked pretty rough in the opener, which I am sure is not a reflection of what is to come this year, but Westbrook looked great. That price tag is just dirt cheap on him, and he gets a great match-up against the Pelicans who played at a very fast pace last season, in what could be the highest scoring game of the night.

Nikola Vucevic (8,900) – I am listing big Vuc in this spot instead of Drummond because of a price, and match-up difference. Drum is obviously posting a huge usage rate with Griffin out, but he is almost 11k. Vuc had a sold debut posting a double-double, in 34 minutes, and 40 fantasy points. The usage rate was 25.7% which is a little low, but he still had 1.15 FPM which led the team. Atlanta has always had a problem against big men, and this is a great spot for Nikola.

Al Horford (6,700) – If Joel sits out in this game, Al will take over as the true center against the Pistons. He did play 31 minutes in the last game anyway, getting time at both the four, and five spots. His usage rate saw a 5% bump with Joel off the floor, and got almost one FPM. I am expecting Philadelphia to be pretty conservative with him, as they have been in the past.
