FanDuel NBA Breakdown – GPP Plays
Ben Simmons (9,600) – Ben just missed a triple double the other night, and could responsible for shouldering the offensive load if Joel sits. He does is a high FPM player, racking up points in just about every single category, at 1.23 FPM. Detroit just gave up a really big game to the likes of Atlanta, and Trae Young. While Simmons does not have anywhere near the same scoring upside as Young, he does have the ability to dominate the boards over the much smaller guards. This is a great GPP play if Joel was to sit out.
Kawhi Leonard (9,800) – The forgotten star should go overlooked once again in a game against the Suns. Any player that is sporting a ridiculous 42% usage rate is somebody who we should be locking into our lineups regardless. He also has 1.65 FPM, and put up 40 points in just 21 minutes last game. It is pretty obvious that the Clippers are managing his minutes to start this season, but all he needs to play is right around 30 minutes in order to hit value, with a very high ceiling on the chance that he logs minutes in the mid 30’s.
Domantas Sabonis (8,000) – With Thad Young long gone, Dom is finally getting his long awaited shot as a full time starter. He had a great first game, with 27 points, and 13 rebounds. Her led the team with 1.22 FPM, and should be able to have his way with the weak big men of Cleveland. Dom can should be a candidate to put up a double-double each time he takes the court, and rack up a few blocks along the way.
