NFL DFS Week 8: Fantasy football cash game breakdown
Matthew Stafford – FanDuel $7700 DraftKings $6100
Woo doggy do I love this play on DraftKings. It’s been well established the Giants aren’t great on defense and will get thrown on. The Lions have been pretty bad against running backs the last few weeks and are against Saquon so you have your come back already. I’m not going full game stack or anything but Stafford is probably going to be slinging it more with Kerryon out and with Saquon hopefully putting up points on the other side. Just look at what Stafford did last week against a solid Vikings defense and you know the recency bias will likely be in favor of chasing Stafford this week.
Deshaun Watson – FanDuel $8400 DraftKings $7100
We’ve been going here a lot and it hasn’t been too painful really. Indy is a good defense but Watson got pretty unlucky with a LOT of empty redzone trips. I don’t expect that to happen again this week against Oakland who is one of the worst teams against the pass according to their adjusted DVOA. I don’t know if I’ll have the salary for Watson this week because I really like so many plays that it makes sense to pay down a bit at quarterback but I don’t think you can go wrong here, especially with some targets of his being chalk at wide receiver.
Josh Allen – FanDuel $7700 DraftKings $6500
I love the potential of Josh Allen. Unfortunately, he hasn’t really hit it this year. We haven’t had one of those crazy ceiling games from him yet and I’m worried this week might be when he does it and I won’t have enough of him. Do pay close attention to the weather here because normally I’m not a big weather guy but I’ve heard it could be rainy and windy. The wind is probably more important but if it’s a true monsoon-like we saw last week in the 49ers game, that won’t help. Allen does get to throw against the terrible Philly secondary though plus he can run the ball really well.
