DraftKings NBA Shooting Guards:

Best Bets:

I’m glad we can play Luka Doncic here and not clog up the PG slot. SG is a much weaker position, and there is enough value across the board to put Doncic with Lillard or LeBron if you want. No one can stop Doncic right now. He will be in every lineup I make today. I see zero reason to fade. I have other places to differentiate.

Honorable Mention:

I really don’t like the middle tier here. CJ is cold as ice. I refuse to play Andrew Wiggins on principle. Dwayne Bacon laid eggs on Friday, and it’s all Graham’s fault. I do like Tyler Herro still with Butler and Waiters away, but Nunn and Dragic really cap his upside. I would use the two of them over Herro. the good news is that Nunn is SG eligible.

Danny Green has finally found the perfect place for him. Both of the Lakers’ stars are pretty much scorers that need the ball. Green has a penchant for putting himself in position to score and relying on someone to get him the ball. It also doesn’t hurt that he’s a huge defensive presence on a team that sorely needs one. Green is still a very nice value early on.

Dark Horses:

Spencer Dinwiddie led the Nets in minutes and was second in scoring on Friday night. I do think the rotations are a bit in flux, but Dinwiddie’s price is so low that you can use him and not be sunk if he underachieves. I really don’t think that happens. Dinwiddie has always had a good floor.

I never thought I would say this, but Josh Okogie has been outstanding in the minutes given to him. Okogie only played 14 minutes in the opener but racked up 21.75 DraftKings points. He turned in a strong shooting night in his 26 minutes on Friday. With the way Okogie is playing, the Timberwolves should keep rolling him out there over rookie Jarrett Culver.

My pick: Doncic(SG), Green(SF); Doncic(SG), Dinwiddie(UTIL)
