NFL DFS bargain bin: Week 8 Tight Ends

NOTE: DUE TO TIME CONSTRAINTS THIS WEEK, THIS IS MORE OF A “QUICK HITS” VERSION OF THE BARGAIN BIN, DESIGNED TO STILL IDENTIFY THE GOOD PLAYS, BUT WITHOUT AS MUCH OF A WRITE-UP ON EACH.

Josh Hill, NO vs. ARI:

(DraftKings-$3,200/FanDuel-$5,000/FantasyDraft-$6,900/Yahoo-$10)

Hill turned in a solid 3-43-1 line in Week 7 against the Bears in place of Jared Cook (ankle), and with the latter sidelined again in Week 8, Hill is certainly in play against a Cardinals team that’s the worst in the league overall against tight ends. Hill’s passing game opportunities are sometimes limited by his blocking responsibilities, but as the clear No. 1 tight end Sunday and rock-bottom prices across the industry, he’s certainly worth a look.

Jonnu Smith, TEN vs. TAM:

(DraftKings-$2,800/FanDuel-$4,900/FantasyDraft-$5,500/Yahoo-$10)

Another value tight end set to elevate to a starting role is Smith, who’ll replace Delanie Walker (ankle) against the Buccaneers’ vulnerable defense. The young tight end showed some downfield chops with a 3-64 line against the Chargers in Week 7 and seems to have solid chemistry with Ryan Tannehill, whom he’s spent some time on the practice fields with as second-unit teammates. The Buccaneers have been vulnerable to the tight end position as well, and you simply can’t beat Smith’s prices.
