Duds

PJ Washington (at LAC – $6,600 on DK; $6,000 on FD): Washington came back down to earth a bit against the Lakers and facing the Clippers, who are rested and angry, on a back-to-back isn’t exactly ideal. With the back-to-back, his salary hasn’t dropped from his hot start. He’s a high risk-high reward player on FD but should be avoided on DK at his salary.

Steven Adams (at HOU – $6,400 on DK; $6,600 on FD): Adams hasn’t exactly flourished without Westbrook. He’s struggling around the rim and doesn’t have the range to extend further. The physical decline has been noticeable and even though the price has dropped, there’s just not a lot to like from his game right now.

Buddy Hield (vs DEN – $6,000 on DK; $6,700 on FD): The price on Hield had dropped but stay away until he can find some sort of rhythm. Things aren’t working in Sacramento after a promising season last year. And the Nuggets aren’t exactly a team where you can find your rhythm. He’s a high risk, high reward player if he can get it together.

Stephen Curry (at NO – $9,500 on DK; $9,200 on FD): Steph is still valued far too high on DK (4th highest salary) and while the price has dropped on FD, you’re better off spending extra or finding value. It’s not that he’s bad, it’s that the rest of the team around him is bad and everyone zones in on Steph. The Pelicans defense leaves a lot to be desired, which might help, but not worth the risk.

Rudy Gobert (at PHO – $8,000 on DK; $9,000 on FD): No Ayton should help Gobert, but his game doesn’t always translate to DFS. And on a night with so many stars, you can’t afford to miss at this price. He’s not staying on the floor and guys who can’t stay on the floor don’t help. There’s more value in Whiteside and Harrell, who are both cheaper options.
